Paris

Paris

We had a long weekend away in Paris. We caught the Eurostar to Paris early Friday, after a minor hiccup with the metro breaking down we made it to the hotel. We loaded up on pastries (see Ken feeding his face at the start) and set off for a day of sights. We walked to Eiffel Tower and then up it, from there we went to the Arc de Triomphe then walked down the Champs Elysées to the Lourve where we caught up with Mona Lisa before taking our very tired feet back to the hotel.

Saturday morning saw us off on a bike tour of Paris, definatly the highlight for both of us. It really made us love the city. We went to the Notre Dame in the afternoon and then went out to a French resturant in the evening that our tour guides (a kiwi and american) had recommended. It was awesome and quite the experience as the waitress spoke hardly any english.

Sunday morning we went to a market that was again recommended by our tour guides, it was really cool to see. The colour of the fruit and veges were so bright and we stuffed ourselves with pastries before heading back to London on the Eurostar.
